All of our team members are GDC registered and have a wealth of experience in caring for patients and resolving dental problems. We all undertake continuing professional development to ensure that we provide the best care possible.

 At No1 Victoria Terrace Dental Clinic we have always operated a team approach to providing your dental care utilising our highly skilled team of Dentists, Dental Therapists and DCP’s. Each of our clinicians operates within their “scope of practice”. New legislation came into force in June 2024 which supported direct patient access to Dental Therapists and enabled an even better use of the skill mix within the dental team.

Both our Dentists and Dental Therapists can provide dental examinations. We triage all our patients to ensure that your appointment is allocated to the correct clinician. If during your appointment it becomes clear that the treatment required is outside the “scope of practice” of a Dental Therapist, you would be referred to one of our Dentists.

All NHS and Complete Smile Scheme exams are undertaken in this way. All new patient exams will always be booked with the Dentist, and we will ensure that all patients are seen by a Dentist annually.

We understand that some patients prefer a more traditional model and wish to opt out of this system. We offer a fully Private Scheme where all your appointments (except Hygiene) are provided by the Dentist.
